Mosquito Dunks 6 Pack

A Mosquito Dunk looks like a small, beige donut. Designed to float on water, Mosquito Dunks slowly dissolve and release a bacterium toxic to all species of mosquito larvae. The active ingredient in Dunks is Bti (Bacillus thuringiensis, subspecies israelensis.) Easy to use, simply add a Mosquito Dunk to areas of standing water, including water troughs, Koi ponds, birdbaths, rain barrels, or any place where water collects and remains for periods of time. While floating, Mosquito Dunks slowly release a long-term biological mosquito larvicide at the water's surface which gradually settles in the water. Mosquito Dunks work by killing mosquito larvae as they grow. Female mosquitos lay their eggs in standing water. After the eggs hatch, the resulting larvae ingest the larvicide. Mosquito Dunks kill mosquitoes before they become flying, biting, disease-carrying adults. Each Mosquito Dunk will treat 100 sq. ft. of water surface for 30 days or more. For less water, a portion of a Mosquito Dunk can be used.
